What is IEEE?
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a non-profit professional organization of more than 360,000 individual members in approximately 175 countries, leading the world in advancement of technology. There are also sub societies that focus on different aspects such as aerospace systems, telecommunications, biomedical engineering, electric power, and consumer electronics.

Mission: The IEEE promotes the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about electro and information technologies and sciences for the benefit of humanity and the profession.
